Call for a native English Editor

Are you a native English speaker with a legal background? Do you want to learn more about human rights issues in the Netherlands and international human rights mechanisms? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you!

The Dutch Section of the International Commission of Jurists is an association of lawyers that is committed to the protection and promotion of human rights in the Netherlands. We are looking for an English native speaker who is available to proofread a contribution to the List of Issues Prior to Reporting at the end of May or the beginning of June. The contribution is written by Dutch legal volunteers and they address human rights issues with regard to the implementation of the UN Convention against Torture. The contribution will be submitted to the Committee against Torture. To make sure that the contribution is clear and well-written, we are looking for an English editor with a human rights background (e.g. master student international law).

We will offer you an opportunity to learn more about human rights issues in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and to increase your knowledge on UN Human Rights mechanisms. You will also receive bookstore-credits as a thank you for your contribution.

We look forward to receiving your application!
